Samsung NC10 netbookA standard netbook with a pretty conventional design, Samsung's NC10 won't turn many heads, but its crowning feature is built-in 3G wireless broadband. Partnered with Optus, the Samsung NC10 becomes a handy road-warrior -- if you can live with the ...

Built-in 3G with Optus, decent build quality, good keyboard layout, good battery life Contra:Tiny touchpad, lacks a bit of style, poor display viewing angles Conclusion:Battery life is quite impressive. In our battery test, where we loop a video file with the screen brightness at its highest setting, the Samsung NC10's 6-cell battery lasted just over four hours. Samsung NC10The Samsung NC10 netbook weighs a mere 1.33kg, and measures 261x185x30mm but somehow manages to squeeze in a 10.2-inch SuperBright screen with 1024x600 resolution. It also has a 160GB hard drive, a 1.6GHz Intel Atom Processor and supports Bluetooth ...

In today's down-sized world, 10-inches is the new 15-inches. Everyone with access to a Chinese OEM factory is releasing a compact plastic netbook with an Atom processor, Windows XP, a solitary gig of RAM and a silly name. Apart from the silly name, ... Contra:You get what you pay for, so don't expect titanium shells, built-in 3G or punchy speakers (although the Sammy's stereo output is surprisingly lively). Wi-Fi doesn't reach draft-n speeds, but then the NC10 probably hasn't got the processing grunt to ... Conclusion:Eee might be the brand du jour but Samsung has been cranking out decent budget notebooks since netbooks were just a gleam in Intel Atom's eye. For a solid, practical XP workhorse, look no further. |
